It’s good to know Telus is buying it’s customers with exclusive phone deals. They can’t give a good plan or cheap data – but heck – they have the Hero!

I won’t be coming to an overpriced company for a three year contract for a Hero.

I’ll just stick with a BB or etc and open my choices. I may not be on the bleeding edge – but I still can do everything I need to.

While it’s awesome for Telus customers to be getting the Droid/Milestone/Sholes/Tao whatever, this is when it sucks to be an early Android adopter. My contract with Rogers was coming up within a few months of the Dream and Magic coming out on Rogers so I re-upped for 3 years and got a Magic. Good thing I dropped my phone in beer and now it’s unreliable. I say “good thing” because I can justify getting a new phone, so I’ll be looking for an unlocked Milestone once they come out.

Would Q1 imply first week of January?

I have to go out and purchase a Hero to tie me over until the Droid is launched, my current phone just crapped out on me.

Nice! My rogers plan I signed onto 3 yrs ago FINALLY expires in a few months. Telus…here I come…and good riddens rogers!!!

I’m loving the new Telus/Bell 3G network!! Although I’m in a contract with Rogers, it;s so nice to be able to unlock any 3G phone from Bellus and use it on Rogers.

The DROID (the actual model name) is CDMA, the Milestone will be the HSPA+ version. If you go to Motorola’s sites you can see that under the network specs. If you are looking for other phones w/ Android 2.0, they do exist, or at least they will in the near future for your provider. Just do some searching of the major manufacturers… It’ll do ya good.
