Telus to get Samsung M8800 & Samsung Omnia 2

Some of you have been wondering what regular devices Telus will launch on their HSPA. Well I just received a tip Telus will be acquiring the Samsung M8800.
Let’s have a look at the specs.
- Tri-band 3G with HSDPA 3.2-inch display
- 240 x 400 pixels resolution
- Built in GPS receiver
- Accelerometer
- FM radio with RDS
- 8 megapixel camera WVGA (740 x 480 pixels)
- video recording at 30fps
- DivX and XviD playback
- SRS (surround sound system) Virtual 5.1 Channels
- MicroSD memory slot
Also confirmed from 2 separate sources we will see the Samsung Omnia 2. However it seems Bell has an exclusive agreement at launch, likely for 30 days (the norm between Bell & Telus).
Discuss here and Thanks to both tipsters for this.

I asked the guy at the Samsung booth, at the TELUS Dealer Rally in Toronto, and he told me point-blank that the Omnia2’s gonna be a Bell exclusive… Boooooo…
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that he’s wrong though…
