Bell introduces a no-contract fee for Atlantic customers

Bell Logo
Not willing to let Rogers one up them, as of Oct 9th Bell will be billing their Atlantic customers (Former Aliant customers in NB, NS, NL and PEI) $5/month if they are not on a contract. If they decide to cave, and sign a 12, 24, or 36 month contract, then the Monthly Contract Fee (MCF) will be removed.
So what about the rest of us? Think the fee will eventually come to the other provinces? (Theory: Yes) Or do you think this fee was put in place to offset the lower number of subscribers out East? (Likely to become the company spin on the new fee)
